Veterinary Assistant
Our veterinary assistants have one of the largest set of responsibilities of the entire team. In addition to needing excellent communication skills, each is asked, trained, and expected to be knowledgeable in common veterinary diseases and parasites, to know preventive care, vaccination schedules and administration, and to be able to multitask. VA's are trained to draw blood samples, place IV catheters, assist with restraint, help with surgery and dentistry. Full time VAs are offered competitive pay, great benefits, and should expect to be elevated to the next level of their career.
If you are interested in joining our team, please email a current resume and cover letter to Chris Spath, Business Manager @ cspath@pinehurstvetoly.com and Sarah Siegemund, Back Hospital Manager @ sarah@pinehurstvetoly.com.
Receptionist
The face of Pinehurst is proudly introduced through the care of our reception team. These individuals are helpful, kind, and compassionate listeners who strive to find solutions to owners’ concerns every day. Their tasks are many and varied, from scheduling, checking in patients, communicating lab results, following up after visits, refilling medications, and understanding owners’ needs. Our reception team is extremely knowledgeable and will attempt to find answers to client questions. If you love to help people, especially if you come with veterinary experience, if you love to be busy and juggle many tasks at once, and if you possess a desire to be better and work as a team, Pinehurst would love to hear from you.

Kennel Assistant/Hospital Sanitation
Pinehurst stands behind the belief that exceptional medicine stands on the foundations of cleanliness, good hygiene, and prevention of disease transmission. Our kennel staff are as much a part of our team as anyone. They are truly valued as integral, providing us with a clean hospital, and working tirelessly to keep our patients and ourselves healthy. From room cleaning, poop scooping, kennel cleaning, bathrooms, instrumentation, sterilization, stocking and restocking supplies, to patient care, animal restraint, and assistance with everything else, these people are jacks (and janes!) of all trades. Many kennel assistants discover a passion for veterinary medicine, client care, or business, and find themselves in positions of being promoted into other roles in the hospital.
If you are passionate about disease prevention through hygiene, and are interested in starting in the veterinary space, please email a current resume and cover letter to Chris Spath, Business Manager @ cspath@pinehurstvetoly.com and Sarah Siegemund, Back Hospital Manager @ sarah@pinehurstvetoly.com.
