Saying goodbye to a companion isn’t easy.

Unfortunately, dogs’ and cats’ lives are significantly shorter than our own, and those tearful goodbyes are inevitable. And to make matters even more difficult, pet parents are often faced with the agonizing decision of when to end their companions’ suffering. If you believe your pet’s quality of life is no longer acceptable, or if you simply are concerned it isn’t as good as it could be, we can help. At Pinehurst Veterinary Hospital, we can make recommendations to improve your pet’s life where appropriate. And when there simply is no more to be done, we can guide you through the process of euthanasia. You are welcome and encouraged to be with your pet during the process, as we understand they are your family. We also offer cremation services, if desired.
