Chris Spath is an Erie, Pennsylvania, native who earned his BS in Finance at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. After graduating in 1993, Chris traveled to Washington to visit his brother. What was supposed to be a six-week vacation turned into a new home as Chris immediately fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and decided not to return to the East Coast. Since then, he has earned a spotless reputation as an experienced leader who adeptly manages teams, builds healthy businesses, and sets the example of a hard work ethic in corporate business.
Although he loved the human beings who worked for him, he ultimately felt that the field in which he had gained so much experience also left him feeling a little bit empty. As many did during the global pandemic, Chris looked inward and reassessed what was really the most important in his life. He had always put family above all else but decided during the Covid-19 lockdown to put that sentiment into business. Having been peripherally involved in veterinary medicine for years through his wife, Dr. Maggie Spath, Chris wanted to extend the importance of family into his work. He met Drs. Lina and Dave Cordray through Maggie, and it was through this conglomeration of events and relationships that the idea of Pinehurst came to be. Family above all else, whether animal or human.
